Manage workspaces
A workspace groups and isolates content: workflows, scripts, properties, thresholds, resources, and service requests. Use workspaces to keep teams' or applications' content separate. Every organization starts with a built-in General workspace.
What this solves
One big shared space means teams step on each other's content and can't be given access to just their own, so changes and mistakes ripple across unrelated automation.
Create a workspace
To create a workspace, complete the following steps:
- Go to Workspaces and add a workspace.
- Enter a name (it must be unique, and can't be "General") and an optional description.
- Save.
What lives in a workspace
Workflows, scripts, properties, thresholds, resources, and service requests are scoped to a workspace. (Frequencies, calendars, and tags are shared across all workspaces.)
Good to know
- The General workspace is built in and can't be deleted.
- A workspace can't be deleted while it still contains objects. You'll see exactly what's left to move or delete first.
- Who can work in a workspace is governed by roles scoped to that workspace, not by adding members to the workspace. See Manage roles and permissions.
