Search across OpCon Continuum
Global search finds objects across the whole platform from one place: workflows, jobs, calendars, frequencies, thresholds, resources, tags, properties, scripts, and service requests, and lets you act on or export the results.
Finding a specific workflow, job, or object across a large, busy platform by paging through screens is slow, especially mid-incident, when you need it now.
Search
To search, complete the following steps:
- Go to Search.
- Choose which types to include and enter your query. The query matches any object whose name contains the text, ignoring case (for jobs, the documentation too), and starts working from 2 characters.
- Narrow with the available filters, and page through results.
- Use a row's actions to go to the object, open it in a new tab, copy it (workflows and scripts), or delete it (most types).
- Export the results to CSV or Excel if you need them outside the app.
Save a search
Save a search (its types, query, filters, and sort) to re-run later from Select Saved Search. Saved searches are shared with everyone in your organization, and the list shows the first 100 by name.
The save dialog's Email Delivery settings are stored with the search, but no email is sent. Re-run the search and export it when you need the results.
- Copy is available for workflows and scripts; delete is available for most types but not jobs.
- The copy dialog suggests
<name> - Copy, shortened if the original is too long to fit, and flags a name the save would reject before you submit it. See Object naming. - An export across several types is limited to 5,000 rows (one type: 100,000). Narrow your filters, or export one type at a time, to get a complete export.
