Plugins
Plugins define the job types (connectors) jobs can run — see How connectors work.
Task walkthrough: Manage plugins. This page is the full configuration and troubleshooting reference.
A plugin packages one or more job types (and sometimes connection types). The Plugins area lets an administrator see what's available and enable or disable plugins per tenant.
Plugin catalog
Each plugin shows a display name, internal name, category, version, and its job types; plugins that provide connection types link out to create a connection of that type.
Categories: DATABASE, FILE_TRANSFER, SCRIPT, CONTAINER, INTEGRATION, UTILITY,
CUSTOM, INTERNAL.
Installation and enablement (per tenant)
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
pluginName | e.g. builtin:command, sql-executor. |
installedVersions | Versions available to the tenant. |
defaultVersion | The version new jobs use. |
isActive | Whether the plugin is enabled for the tenant. |
Default visibility
| Plugin prefix | Default |
|---|---|
builtin:* (e.g. Run Command, Run Script, Wait for File) | Enabled by default |
internal:* (Null Job, Workflow Container) | Enabled by default |
opcon.lsam.* (legacy LSAM) | Enabled by default |
opcon.mft, opcon.rpa, opcon.ease (the relay-side REST connectors) | Enabled by default. Each is matched exactly — no other opcon.* name inherits it |
no prefix (external, e.g. sql-executor) | Disabled by default — must be opted in |
An enabled plugin is not the same as a usable one. The three REST connectors additionally need a relay that has reported it can serve their agent type, and a registered agent — see Relays.
- "A job type isn't available to build with" usually means its plugin is disabled — external plugins (like SQL) are off by default and must be enabled per tenant.
- Disabling a plugin removes its job types from new jobs; existing jobs that use it are a separate concern — confirm before disabling.
- Multiple versions can be installed; the default version is what new jobs pick up.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| SQL (or other external) job type missing in the builder | The external plugin is disabled (default) | Enable the plugin for the tenant (Administrator). |
| New jobs use an unexpected plugin version | The default version changed | Check/set the default version (Administrator). |
