Alerts: what changed from OpCon Classic

BETA Preview

This feature is still being finalized by Development.

Concept mapping, under review

This page maps OpCon Classic concepts to their OpCon Continuum equivalents. It is a conceptual mapping under review, and it deliberately does not compare the two products' platform or job-type breadth. Use it to translate what you already know — not as the basis for a migration plan. Confirm specifics with your Continuous contact.

What this solves

Somebody's phone has to ring when the nightly run fails. In OpCon Classic you set that up as notification and escalation configuration with its own delivery methods. In OpCon Continuum the same job is done by a notification group — a set of things to watch, a set of triggers to watch for, and a set of actions to take — and the delivery methods are channels. The structure is more explicit, and every channel you can choose delivers.

What you get. How the pieces line up, which channels you can use, and how to prove an alert arrives before you depend on it.
